Let’s talk about economics and how the financial world affects your life
Thursday 16 November 2017
St George's Hall, Liverpool
Last year, you told us that we need to help people understand the economy and our role better, particularly through education.
In partnership with Speakers for Schools – a UK-wide education charity that provides state secondary schools with free talks from high-profile figures – our Governors spent the morning visiting schools across Liverpool speaking to students.
In the afternoon, we held an event where we discussed what we have been doing to make the economy and our work more accessible to all. We showcased initiatives like our new education programme, our revamped major publications and our new website. For this session we partnered with Economy and Rethinking Economics, who are at the forefront of the campaign to make economics open, relevant and accessible. The afternoon plenary session focused on audience and social media Q&A.
