Information we collect
The Bank of England (‘we’ or the ‘Bank’) collects personal data about you when you sign up to one of our newsletters. This information includes your name, email address and the details of the organisation you work for (if provided).
How we use it
By subscribing, you consent to us communicating with you about the content you have selected. We will only keep your personal data for the period of time you are subscribed to our email updates. If you wish to unsubscribe, you can do so by using the link at the bottom of each email you receive, or by emailing webmaster@bankofengland.co.uk
We use a third party provider, MailChimp, based in the United States, to manage subscriptions and deliver our email updates through their standard service. MailChimp participates in, and has certified its compliance with, a recognised EU-U.S. privacy framework. Your rights
You have a number of rights under data protection laws (for example, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data the Bank holds about you. This is known as a ‘Subject Access Request’). You can ask us to change how we process or deal with your personal data, and you may also have the right in some circumstances to have your personal data amended or deleted.
