Auditors

The auditor of a financial institution that is subject to statutory regulation has a 'duty to report' certain information to the regulator, relevant to the regulator's functions, which comes to the auditor's attention during the course of their work.

Any reports of this nature that relate to functions conferred on the PRA or the Bank of England as regulator should be sent to Auditors.dutytoreport@bankofengland.co.uk, as well as your regular Supervision contact.

For more information on an auditor’s duty to report, see sections 342 and 343 of FSMA, The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Communications by Auditors) Regulations 2001, as well as UK auditing standards.

International regulators

If you are aware of the relevant supervision team you wish to contact, please feel free to contact them directly. If you need information about an individual or a firm in the form of a Goodstanding Letter, please see our guide below:

If you have FMI queries please email: FMIInformation@bankofengland.co.uk.

Getting into the building if you use a wheelchair

There are steps at our front entrance on Threadneedle Street so we have a lift. If you need to use it,  please press the large button with a wheelchair symbol on. It’s at wheelchair level near the left-hand rail. Our security staff will operate the lift and then direct you to the counter.

If you are visiting someone at the Bank, please let your host know in advance if you use a wheelchair. They will make sure you can get to all the parts of the building you need to.

Accessibility at our building

There are steps at our front entrance on Threadneedle Street so we have a button to call for assistance next to the steps. It’s on the bottom left handrail at wheelchair level.

A portable writing table (eazydesk) is available for wheelchair users. Please ask a member of staff if you would like to use it.

An induction loop is available at the counter.
