Key points
- UK-owned monetary financial institutions and their branches and subsidiaries worldwide reported a decrease in consolidated external claims on an ultimate risk basis of $26.5 billion during 2023 Q3, to a level of $4,372.7 billion.
- By sector, the largest decrease in claims was on the private non-financial corporations sector, down by $29.5 billion to a level of $696.1 billion.
- By region, the largest decrease in claims was on Developing Countries, down by $22.7 billion to a level of $817.1 billion.
