About this event
When: Thursday 19 February, 5.15pm to 8pm
The stylistic history of the Bank of England is well-known; elaborate architecture, stoic skylines and hidden archaeological finds - but what about the worn history of the Bank?
Explore the attire and accessories behind the central bank through this free museum late event, focussing on our limited-time display of our Collection's fashion items.
Expect tailored robes, military capes and classic coattails alongside glistening buttons, buckles and belts. This pop-up will walk you through key elements of the Bank's long history, through the garments that were designed and tailored to match the responsibilities and reputation of one of the world's oldest central banks.
